Retirement Home

The elderly who rely on home-care or even nursing care will find a comfortable place and a community where they will feel safe and accepted. The home offers a large lounge overlooking the garden as well as a café to enjoy with visitors or to hold small parties. Wheelchair access to the enclosed garden will allow those whose feet or head no longer cooperate to relax outdoors. A small chapel will provide a space for being still and prayer. Social workers will work with clients individually and in groups and will prepare engaging activities for them. Clients will also be able to benefit from spiritual care and the opportunity to attend a worship service at a nearby Baptist church. Meals will be prepared 5 times a day in the in-house kitchen for all residential and day clients.

Year-round accommodation for 40 clients

The accommodation will include single and double bedrooms with wheelchair access and en-suite facilities. There will be a kitchenette, therapy rooms and a meeting area for visitors on each floor.

Day care
center for the elderly

This service is for senior citizens in need of home-care during workdays. They will have their own space – a rest room, social workers to attend to them and therapies tailored to their interests and needs.

Social and
health care
facility

The facility will provide both home-care and nursing care services to 30 seniors. It will be staffed by a doctor and nurses. The elderly will have single and double rooms with en-suite facilities to choose from.

Community housing

The intention of the Dobrodina project is to create a vibrant and diverse environment where different types of communities come together, and housing is a very organic part of the overall design. We do not aim at developing institutional social care facilities only, but want to promote traditional and natural relationships that emerge in neighborhoods. The plan is to build 28 rental apartments in six buildings, which will be designed both for the more vital senior citizens who can look after themselves but prefer to have other services close at hand, as well as for young families with children and, last but not least, for employees. The north-south orientation of the apartments will ensure plenty of light at all times of the year, while preventing the apartments from overheating in the strong western sun. All apartments will have loggias.

Ground floor wheelchair access apartments

The ground floor apartments are designed for vital seniors who are still able to care for themselves, but appreciate having a doctor nearby and the possibility to order lunch and other services. Such housing will guarantee plenty of privacy, but also the opportunity to participate in joint activities.

Apartments
for
employees

The multi-storey apartments and upstairs apartments will be rented out to employees of the medical center, nursery and retirement home. The benefit of fine and affordable housing in close proximity to the workplace will help us to attract quality professional staff.

Short-term
staff accommodation

Several apartments are reserved for the short-term accommodation of retirement home caregivers, who will be able to rest between shifts in the immediate vicinity of the workplace. At the same time, they will be an organic part of the community in which they work and live.

Nursery

The vision of the community nursery is built around a safe environment promoting Christian values where all children are respected, supported and loved. Our program will foster a holistic approach that allows each child to develop their social, physical, intellectual and emotional abilities. We know that each child is unique and special, and therefore a supportive environment is critical to their overall development. The nursery will be based in a separate modern building with two classrooms for 30 children aged 3 – 6. The building will be close to the facility for the elderly which will enable us to develop joint activities promoting the social skills of both groups. Our competent staff will facilitate open and respectful communication, empathy, a quality learning environment, and provide ample outdoor space for physical activities. Our mission is to provide high quality education in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment that creates a good foundation for vibrant learning for our children.

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so. Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back, and tomorrow I will give it,” when you have it with you.

Proverbs 3:27-28

Medical center

A modern medical center will be built on the northern side of the site, which will provide health care for all age groups. Through central management of health services, we will ensure high quality and efficient health care. In addition to a general practitioner and a pediatrician we intent to provide part-time services of specialists such as diabetologist, endocrinologist, internist, cardiologist, oncologist, gynecologist, urologist, immunologist and psychiatrist. Clients will also have access to physiotherapy, pharmacy and ultrasound.

BASIC SERVICES

COMPLEMENTARY SERVICES

We plan to open a social and health care integration agency for seniors and vulnerable citizens that will coordinate social and health care services in such way so as to be most beneficial for clients.
